Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Tosa region of Japan.
Excellent natural filtration properties that help reduce odor and hardness from water, and purify for great-tasting drinking water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours.
Use 1 stick for 2 liters of water. Each stick is approximately 0.75" to 1" (2cm to 2.5cm) in diameter and 4" (10cm) in length.
Reactivate charcoal every two weeks by boiling it for 10 minutes and letting it dry.
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
