About this item

  • Binchotan (Japanese Oak) activated charcoal is the highest grade of charcoal. These charcoals are from the Tosa region of Japan.
  • Excellent natural properties that help reduce odor and hardness from water, and filter for better tasting drinking water. Filtering time is approximately 3-4 hours.
  • Use 1 stick for a personal water bottle and use 2 sticks for a carafe. 1 stick can filter up to 1 L (33.8 oz) of water. Each stick is approximately 0.8 inches in diameter and 4 inches in length.
  • Reactivate charcoal every 2 weeks by boiling it for 10 minutes and letting it dry.
  • Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
